The exhibition includes paintings, photographs, historical documents, fragments of films and musical and literary pieces, clothing and popular art, as well as a life-size representation of a cavalcade of eight horsemen characteristic of several nations of America: the Mexican Charro, the cowboy and the Indians of the prairies, in the present territory of the United States, the chalan of Peru, the Chilean Huaso, the Mapuches of Chile and Argentina, the Llanero of Venezuela and Colombia and the gaucho of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil.
Fernández de Calderón agreed that the pieces have a continental character, so the bank was joined by Roberto Hernández Ramírez Foundation, Díez Morodo Foundation and La Moneda Cultural Center, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aeromexico.
Ambassador José Luis Martínez assures that visitors will be impressed with the “introduction” of this exhibition, since upon entering the Citibanamex Palace of Culture, people are received by a group of horseback riders.
But this should not stop the visit, inside it is possible to find saddles, paintings, sculptures and various artistic objects that take the visitor by the hand during the tour and demonstrate the coincidences and cultural differences that exist in America, all based on the riders and their world.
Andrés Albo Márquez, director of Citibanamex Social Commitment, stressed that preserving culture is an instrument of development.
“Over 46 years there are around 600 or more, national and international, which have received just over 24 million visitors,” said the director.
This exhibition demonstrates the interest of Citibanamex to expand its offer to the continental level and go “beyond borders”.
